Presentation of the Prototype: Aeropanorama – An Exhibition on Landscape in Early Italian Silent Cinema (1896–1922)

Aeropanorama is a highly interdisciplinary project of exhibition curated by Marco Bertozzi and Nicoletta Traversa. In a space designed to replicate the materials and layout of 19th- and 20th-century tourist airships, Aeropanorama takes the form of the interior of an airship, where aluminium frames and white rubberised sheets modulate the surface. The aim is to evoke the internal layout of the aircraft: the waiting room, the reading room, the storage room, the cabins, the dining room and the promenade. In our reinterpretation, these spaces give way to the Cloud Room, the Archive Room, the Cinema Room, the Creative Recycling Room, the Diving Room, the Navigation Room and the Expanded Cinema Room.
