Call for Papers
We are very pleased to announce the international conferenceLost landscapes, rediscovered landscapes. Retracing the Italian territory in silent cinema (Paris, April 10-12, 2025).
The conference intends to re-examine, more than a century later, the fascinating and evocative links between the cinematographic medium and Italian landscapes.
Through a program spread over three days, it will be developed a reflection on landscapes and locations in films shot in Italy (fictional films as well as cinematic views/dal vero films), throughout the silent period. The considered films should not necessarily be Italian productions.
The conference will be both the final event of RevIS project and the launch of the new research and creative project “Paysages italiens, Cento anni dopo (1986-1930)”, developed at Paris 8 University (ESTCA) by Céline Gailleurd and Olivier Bohler.
Proposals of ca 250 words in English as well as in French, will be welcomed at reviscolloque@gmail.com, by December 8, 2024.
